In 2022, the website for Chattamatters was launched as a civic education platform designed to help Chattanoogans better understand and engage with local government. The project centered on transforming a growing library of video content into a clear, searchable Squarespace experience.
The Challenge
The content existed primarily as a gallery of videos that needed thoughtful structure and strategy. The site also needed to be built for growth—simple at launch, yet scalable enough to expand alongside the platform’s evolving content and community impact.
The Solution
The final design focused on clarity and ease of use, organizing content through intuitive navigation, searchable structures, and a flexible layout system that honored the newly established brand. From the beginning, the foundation was built to scale.
The site was designed for significant growth in complexity — expanding in content, depth, and reach — while remaining rooted in the same design system established in 2022. Its longevity is only possible through intentional system building from day one.
